> | | | | | | Hope everyone is doing well. Things are going really great around here. My BFF visited from Virginia. She and I were stationed together in DC and in London. We have remained like sisters through the years. So it was fitting for us to have a great visit right here around the same time we are celebrating all the men and women who have served and are serving our great country. Where would we be without them....hopefully we will never have to know!!
Everyone probably has great plans for the upcoming weekend....cookouts, boating, swimming, etc......but I do hope that everyone will take a moment to remember what this holiday is all about.....

| |  Homemade Products with Brand-Name Quality
Creamy Macaroni and CheeseThis is a basic recipe for macaroni and cheese. Use more or less cheese to suit your taste.
1 1/2 cups elbow macaroni
4 cups water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup milk
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 cup grated Velveeta cheese
1/3 cup grated mozzarella cheese
Add uncooked macaroni to 4 cups salted, boiling water. Cook until tender. Drain in a colander. In a large saucepan, combine milk, butter, and cheeses and heat on low until all ingredients are thoroughly blended. Add drained macaroni and stir until evenly coated.
Yields: 8 serving (1/2 cup each)
